Happy Friday Readers! Welcome to the end of the week. This Sunday, appropriately, is National Read a Book Day, another unofficial official holiday. It’s believed this little holiday sprang up in America from a general desire to create a special ‘time out’ day to sit and read. In the current high stress environment we live it, it is even more important to create moments of self care. What better way to lose some tension than to sit on the couch, lie in the grass, swing in the hammock, or just curl up in bed and dig into that tottering TBR you’ve been collecting for months? Reading is meant to be a joyous activity, one that stimulates your mind and your imagination. You can find a book for just about any mood, but here are some personal recommendations from your local blog maven to check out this National Read A Book Day.
