Acquisitions Intern

If you LOVE to read and have an interest in the editorial side of publishing, this is for you!
Great for authors looking to learn more about their craft and future editors. 

We are seeking a Remote Acquisitions Intern who will be primarily responsible for:

*Reading full manuscripts selected by the Acquisitions Editor / Editorial Director
*Writing reader / editorial letters to assist in decision-making
*Being an integral part of our acquisitions team
*Other relevant tasks, as required.

 

Applicants for the internship should have 5-7 hours per week available, though the internship is flexible, and should be:
*Well-read across genres and in the relevant age categories
*A quick reader
*Interested in publishing as a career
*Able to think critically about story and character.

 

Additionally, applicants should have strong written communication skills and not be averse to using Slack / email to communicate with other members of staff and our authors. Knowledge of current trends within the publishing industry is a plus.

Marketing Intern

Is scrolling through #Bookstagram and Booktok your idea of a perfect job? This is right up your alley!

We are seeking a Remote Marketing Intern who will be primarily responsible for:

*Researching marketing trends and influencers for marketing campaigns
*Sending out ARCs to our early reader groups, influencers, and trade journals
*Maintaining Google Drive so all staff has access to needed graphics and info

*Being an integral part of the Marketing Team.
*Other relevant tasks, as required.

 

Applicants for the internship should have 5-7 hours per week available, though the internship is flexible, and should be:
*Ready and willing to learn book marketing tactics
*Be well-versed in social media
*Interested in publishing as a career
*Have experience with Google Drive

 

Additionally, applicants should have strong written communication skills and not be averse to using Slack / email to communicate with other members of staff and our authors. Knowledge of current trends within the publishing industry is a plus.
